Purpose:
To aid in memorization through the use of a computerized flash card
system.

Instructions:

BASICS:
----------------
	SYNTAX

		Flash [CardFile]

	e.g.	Flash
		or
		Flash Japan.txt

Use the arrow keys to move up and down the menu. Use the <TAB> key
to select a menu item. (Alternatively, the mouse can be used, if
the mouse program {usually mouse.com} has been run).

If a file has been loaded a flash card should be displayed. If not
move to File|Open and type the name of the file to use.

Type the answer and hit <ENTER>. If the answer is correct the next
card will be displayed, if the answer is incorrect the same card will
be displayed. (Note: Each card is inserted into the deck twice)
When a correct answer is given the card is removed from the deck.
The red bar on the right represents the deck. As cards are removed
the red line gets smaller and smaller.

CREATING FILES:
----------------
Creating your own flash card files is fairly easy. Simply create a text file
using a text editor (such as notepad). The first line contains a description
of the file, which should be ended with ",0". Each successive line should
contain both sides of a card separated with a comma. E.g.,

	Japanese Week 1 Vocabulary,0
	Nihon,Japan
	sensei,teacher
	asa,morning
	Amerika,America
	gohan,rice
	konnichiwa,hello

Tips:
Becareful not to add extra commas, this will ususally mess up the program.
Also, try to be as consistant as possible when creating files. For example,
I decided as a general rule never to use spaces on the Japanese side of the
card. Consistency helps a lot when trying to learn vovabulary.

NOTES:
----------------
When using Flash to learn a foreign language it is very important to mouth
the word (aload if practical) as well as typing it into the computer.

I've had experiences when I first started using the program before I said
the words a long with typing them, of going in to a test and literally
having to type the words out on a pretend keyboard in order to remember
the word.

I found that if I was able to get through an entire set without making a
single mistake, using flash, taking the vocab test became a certain 100%.
